The new contract was a significant increase from his previous contract, which was worth approximately $5.6 million annually. Under the new agreement, Saban’s base salary was set at $6.9 million with a $400,000 annual completion bonus, plus performance bonuses.
Saban renewed his 8-year contract with Alabama in 2021, this time worth $70.6 million—a $2 million increase from the previous contract. However, he didn’t see the contract through as he chose to retire only two years into his 8-year contract in 2023.

Luxury Car Dealerships
Nick Saban co-owns a luxury car dealership called Dream Motor Group, which primarily sells Mercedes-Benz.
In 2023, the dealership acquired two additional locations in South Florida for $700 million. It now operates nine dealerships across the United States, including locations in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida.
